About the Photographer
Hello! My name is Skylar, and I am fortunate to be the proud owner of two deaf Australian Shepherds named Sunshine and Brie. Our house is located on a farm in Southwest Michigan. As a hobbyist photographer, my passion for pet photography arose from the realization that I had very few pictures of my first dog after his passing. After that I began collecting tons of photos featuring my girls.
In December of 2021, I got my hands on my current camera. But my photography journey started way before that. Since then, I have been captivated by the art form and rarely find a moment to put it down. Currently, I use a Canon T7, accompanied by my primary lenses, the Sigma 35mm 1.4 and the Canon 85mm 1.8. Sunshine, my deaf Australian Shepherd, has proven to be an exceptional model over the past few years, and now I am prepared to extend my photography expertise to capture more remarkable pet moments.
